About Us

BronteBronte Allen

I am a child and adolescent counsellor, and music therapist. I have many years’ experience working with children, teens and their parents, including where experiences of trauma may have affected their ability to experience safe, joyful relating together. In sessions I use play, art and music to help young people connect to their feelings and work through their difficulties. I frequently include parents and/or other caregivers in the counselling process, so they can learn new perspectives and ways of helping their child or teenager. My work draws from my training in child and adolescent psychotherapy, transpersonal counselling and music therapy.   For young people who have experienced trauma, I am trained in trauma specific techniques including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

Master of Mental Health Science (Monash University), Graduate Diploma Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy (Monash University) Diploma Transpersonal Counselling (Ikon Institute), Graduate Diploma Music Therapy (University of Melbourne)

I have over twenty years' experience working as a relationship and family counsellor and music therapist.
